    Binary Files

    The attached zip file contains a DAT file and a R32 file. The R32 file is in 4-byte real format (32 bit) format which i guess just translates to a binary file in 32 bit. If i try to open this file in VB and read lines i get nothing but garbage. Is there a way i can translate this R32 file contents to something more meaningful?

    Thanks in advance.

    Rather than reading "lines" from the file, try reading single-precision values:

    Dim rValue As Single

    hFile = FreeFile
    Open filename For Binary As hFile
    Get hFile, , rValue
    Close hFile
