spirits in the country. Our IT operation is centralized in Glen Burnie,
MD and acts as the standard setter for the corporate operations as well as
those of our subsidiary operations.

The Charmer Sunbelt Group, the 2nd largest wholesale distributor of premium
wines, spirits and beer in the country, is seeking a Database Administrator.
The Database Administrator is responsible for managing the critical database
needs of the company. This position requires a bachelor's degree in computer
information systems or related area and 2-3 years of experience as a Microsoft
SQL Server database administrator. Exceptional written and verbal communication
skills are required. We also require U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency.

We work with the latest technology including Windows 2000, MS SQL Server
2000, Microsoft CMS and the full suite of MS-Office Professional Edition
(including Outlook), plus many more.

Candidate must possess the following:

Experience managing complex mission critical databases on multiple Windows
2000 servers within a large enterprise.
Ability to write, analyze, and maintain complex SQL statements within stored
procedures, triggers, views, and other MS SQL Server objects.
Significant experience with Microsoft Windows 2000 Server operating system.

Strong disaster recovery and business continuity experience.
Solid understanding of server technologies.

MCDBA
Knowledge of MDX Query language

Responsibilities:

Implements data models and database designs, provides data access and performs
table maintenance.
Identifies and resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues,
replication, and other distributed data issues.
Reviews and implements all production SQL Server database objects.
Administers, maintains, develops and recommends policies and procedures for
ensuring the security and integrity of the company’s databases.
Works with software development team to assess the impact of database changes
on system performance.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops;
reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating
in professional societies.
Up to 20% travel is required.
