icon for executable coming from resource file by accident

I recently added a resource file to my application to get around some issues of black backgrounds appearing in toolbar icons. That's all working fine now but I've encountered a new problem as a result.

The compiled application now displays the first icon in the resource file as the application's icon rather than the one that I specify on the Make tab of the project options dialog...

Any idea what's going on and how I can correct it?

I've considered recompiling the resource file with the icon I want used in the application listed first. But this strikes me as a desperate move -- to be saved as a last gasp.

    TIA,
    Ken

    Phil,

thanks. It was a great help. I just put the application icon in the resource file and gave it the name "AAA". The article explains exactly what's happening.
