Can VB.NET peep into Windows OS for some data?

We are currently looking for ways how can we know the number of pages is being printed by Windows OS after you signal printing or press OK in any application. Anyone knows how to get this data(if there is a VB.NET code here)?Thanks.

There is a way to view print spool file contents. There is a VB sample here on FVBC, and a VB.NET sample on CodeGuru.
