Tearing and blinking...
A second quick question. I double buffer of course, but sometimes there is a fluke and the sprite is 'torn' or blinks sometimes, especially if there is a lot going on, on the screen. How do you avoid tearing and blinking? Does Java swing automatically use double buffering making your double buffer become a triple buffer?
Hope you could understand my questions, and thanks in advanced.

If your screen refresh (repaint()) logic results in a very high refresh frequency and
cause messyness, youmust reconsider your screen update strategy; some updates
can perhaps be done simultaneously instead of subsequent repaint() calls ?
