Problems getting an Applet to run off ftp

hey
the applet that i wrote works fine it is just it contains an inner class so the class file for that inner class is TicTacToe$1MouseSpy.class and i can't put it on my ftp becuase the $ symbol can't be in the file name. Is there any way to rename the class file without the $ symbol becuase my applet has to have an inner class other wise i will have to recode the whole thing

Put it in a jar.

...or get another FTP program, I use WS_FTP LE, and I have uploaded lots of class files with
$ signs in their names...
