    Question chat application using j2ee

    Hi ,
    I need to create a chat application using j2ee...can anyone help me out as to how to go about it.
    any suggestion and advice relating to this is welcome.

    You could look into RMI, I know I saw a few examples about that with a complete chat applet which uses RMI for communicating between client and server.

    (RMI stands for Remote Method Invocation, it allows the client to call a method on the server real easy, it works just like calling a local method. you can even have the method be a blocking call.)
