Working with Crystal Report Ver 10

I am having a problem when I convert my existing CR reports over from Crystal Reports Ver 7 to Ver 10. I have my VB program call up a CR and as long at that report was created under my old Crystal Reports version 7 all works fine. If I convert that report to version 10, I get a runtime error 20525 "Unable to load report". I have the following references checked:

    Crystal Data Object
Crystal Enterprise Parameters Dialog library 8.0
Crystal Report Engine 8 Object Library
Crystal Enterprise parameters Dialog library 8.0

Crystal ActiveX Report Viewer Library 10.0
    Crystal Client Document Library 10.0
Crystal EMF Generator Tpe Library 10.0
    Crystal Query Engine
Crystal Reports 10 Standard Wizard library
Crystal Reports ActiveX Designer Run Time Library 10.0
Crystal Reports Common Object Model Library 10.0
    Crystal Reports Controllers Library 10.0
Crystal Reports Data Definition Model Library 10.0
Crystal Reports HTML Report Renderer 10.0
Crystal Reports Local Connection Manager Library 10.0
Crystal Reports Object Factory Library 10.0
Crystal Reports Page Object Model Type Library 10.0
Crystal Reports Report Definition Model Library 10.0
Crystal Reports Repository Explorer Library 10.0
Crystal Reports SAX Serialize Type Library 10.0
Crystal Reports Smart Tag Library 10.0
Crystal Reports Template Engine Type Library 10.0
Crystal Reports Web Reporting Type Library 10.0
    Crystal Visual Linking Editor
    CrystalCelSizeManager 1.0 Type Library
Crystal Reports Repository Explorer Library 10.0
Crystal Enterprise UI Controls Library 10.0
    Crystal Enterprise Connection PlugIn 10.0
    Crystal Enterprise Framework Library 10.0
    Crystal Enterprise Hyperlink PlugIn 10.0
Crystal ActiveX Report Viewer Library 10.0

I've tryed unchecking the ones for Version 8.0 and it will only let me undo two of the three. the one titled Crystal Enterprise Parameters Dialog Library 8.0, wont uncheck stateing "Can't remove control or reference; in use"

So I'm at a loss as to why I can't run my version 10 reports.

i had the same problem too either you change the function when calling the CRv10 or you uninstall CRv10 and continue CRv7... from what i have noticed they have different dll but the same name loaded in the com when it comes to loading vb6 is having a hard time and loads the two dll thus created the error... and btw i think they have different connection strings...

    Good Day.

Is Crystal Report X have Developer and Professional Edition, If yes, I think it won't work if you have professional Edition coz Crystal Report XI also have this, you should have Developer Edition.

    FYI only
