Connecting to a MySQL server on LAN
Hi,
Wanted to build a quickfix application to deploy on my LAN. The application is ready and runs with MySQL backend and VB6 frontend. It runs fine on my local computer but I am not sure how to connect to a remote database on the LAN. I need to connect using the computer name in the connection string as I do not work with Static IP. Is this possible ?
Thanks a ton in advance !

Look at establishing an ODBC connection - the same as you would use for Access or SQL
