    We'll need a bit more info to help.
    Open the java console on your browser, copy the error messages that are there and post them here. There should be a menu item on the browser's taskbar to open the java console.

    Does your HTTP page have the proper applet tag for your browser to call and initialize the applet?

    See

    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/...de/applet.html

    for help.

    It may need the Java Plug In, run your HTML page through the HTMLConverter and then try it.

    I believe that the AppletViewer needs an <APPLET html statement to work.
    How are you using AppletViewer? Do you open an HTML page with the <APPLET statement in it? Or how?

    I include the HTML as a comment in the beginning of Applet's source code that I'm testing to make for easier debugging initially. For example in the source for AppletLoading.java:
    /*
    <APPLET CODE="AppletLoading.class" NAME="QLoader" HEIGHT=200 WIDTH=200>
    <PARAM NAME="appletToLoad" VALUE="SecondApplet">
    <PARAM NAME="SecondAppletParm" VALUE="Hello World">
    </APPLET>
    */
    Then I can issue the command: AppletViewer AppletLoading.java to test the applet in AppletViewer. It saves having a separate HTML file to update.
