Embed SMS Messaging in Java applications
I know a lot of you guys are getting into wireless development. If you're
interested, our company can help you embed SMS Messaging into your Javaapplications.
We offer an SMS Software Development Kit that can do this easily, and allow
your application to send to cell phones and pagers throughout the world with
text, logos, ringtones. For many of you the Java component will be best,
but there are also ActiveX, Perl, PHP, and Shared Object versions to choose
from.

Its not hard to do that. The problem is u have to subscribe to an SMSC before
you do this.

Another way is to send out your SMS from your mobile phone connected to your PC using an SMS Gateway software. You can even send out polyphonic ringtones and wallpapers via WAP Push from your PC. Here are some links for reference:
