WebParts and database connection
Hi,
I am studying ASP.NET 2.0 on machine with Windows XP Home using Visual Web Developer Express Edition Beta and ASP.NET development server. Naturally, the machine with XP Home can't install SQL Server Express.
When I try to run an example with WebParts I am getting Server Error in Application message.
The errror is the "SQLExpress database file auto-creation error".
My questions are:
1. What a database is the server looking for and does try to create? Is it the perssonalization database?
2.Is it possible to change the web.config to work with Access database or XML storage? How to do that? Is there some other workaround?
Thank you
Geoyar
