vb to Excel and back to vb

I am writing a program in vb6 that calls up some forms in Excel. After the forms are filled out, I want to return from Excel to vb6. I can get to the Excel worksheet but I can't get back to the vb6 code to further execute some code. It seems like a one way street. I can get to Excel but I can't get back. Any ideas?

Are you looking to run Excel, pausing execution of VB until Excel is done, and then return control to the VB app after user closes Excel?

How are you launching Excel from Visual Basic? Are you using automation?
