Connecting to Oracle from ASP3

I am confused about the conect strings to be used to connect to Oracle database.

I tend to get TNS could not resolve connect srtring error.
Can anybody clarify on this?

Could you post an example of the your connection string syntax?

Can you connect with SQL Plus? TNS errors typically occur when there is a configuration problem.

Yes, I could connect to Sql Plus without difficulty. There are two Providers in Windows viz:Microsoft OLEDB Provider for ODBC Drivers and Microsoft OLEDB Provider for Oracle.
I tried both.
I use the data link file (.udl) properties to test the Oracle connection. I learnt from a WROX book this is the best way to get the connect string which can be pasted on the connection object's open method (in ASP3).
