White Applet Background

I have a site at http://www.geocities.com/wo33lee/ ---- When i built this site back in 1998 i was using Win95, my background color on site is BLK.

Now viewing with WinXP and the onboard Sun Java program, in all my Java applets i see a white boxy background.

How can i get the applet background back to black so it blends into my webpages? Is there anything i can put into the applet source code that will help.

Applet is a subclass of java.awt.Component and it inherits the setBackground() method. Use that.

setBackground(java.awt.Color.BLACK);

yeah your gonna have to set the background to black in your paint method
