Outlook VB Script
I used to have a server that was running Outlook 97. Within Outlook a previous employee had wrote some VB script that would take an incoming e-mail message, parse out either the subject/body for characters, then forward this varible to a port. On the port side is a monitoring software that then pages out based on specific triggers. I have no idea on the script side of how to accomplish this. Any ideas or pointers? Thanks in advance!

I've included some links to office development for Outlook. If you are looking for a more robust and efficient solution, I would look into Event Sinks in Exchange.

This MSDN article about automating Outlook includes sample applications for sending mail with Outlook, adding contacts, appointments etc.

This site, including the other links I previously posted, should be a good starting tutorial.
