VB.net vs PowerBuilder's Datawindow
I am currently a PowerBuilder development manager and I write VB code at home
and on the side. My preference is VB over PowerBuilder for most of my work
unless the project requires alot of report printing.
The Report Designer in VB 6 is awful and very cumbersome to use in contrast
to the extremely easy and well thought out DataWindow object available in
PowerBuilder.
Has anyone seen or read about anything in VB.net that will assist in report
generation? Has the Report Designer been enhanced or removed in favor of
something else?
I know most people use Crystal Reports for creating complex reports in VB
but I think that just points out a major weakness in VB.
