    paint documents

    so how hard is it to make a program that allows the user to draw in the program window?

    I don't think its *too* hard..just alot of stuff to keep track of...I have a Visual C++ 6 book by Ivor Horton, in which he builds a painting application. Check it out. I think alot of VC++ books actually build a demo app like this.
