    Question OCX location

    Hi,

    I've downloaded a VB project from the Net. The problem is that when I load the project, it tells me that the c:\path\MSCOMCTL.OCX could not be loaded ( the path is where the project is ). I've tried to place the OCX in the same directory but it didn't worked out.

    In the Visual Basic Project, I find:

    Code:
    Object={6B7E6392-850A-101B-AFC0-4210102A8DA7}#2.0#0; MSCOMCTL.OCX
    How can I solve this?

    Kind regards,

    Kepler

    1. Remove this line ~ ( Open .vbp file in notepad then remove this line)
    2. Open the project..
    3. Reference MSCOMCTL.OCX manually

    Hi,

    I think it's working now - but I'm not sure. Either way, what I did was delete that line in the vbp file, opened the project and introduce the OCX by browsing the "Projects > Components..." in the system32 directory. Is this the right way?

    Kind Regards,

    Yeah. exactly...
    one thing.. DON'T open any files in VB6 after removing this line.. Browse OCX then Save the project. Close it..
    Then re-open this project. check whether your project is working fine or not..

    Plz Backup your project before you made changes..
