    Talking mdb connection problem

    Hello, everyone!

I have a problem with oleDBconnection.
I could not find a way how to configure dataset and dataAdapter to be able to use several tables from my Access database.
When I create DataAdapter and OleDBConnection and generate Dataset, it merges all rows from three tables into one.
Do I need to create separate dataadapters for every table I use?

    Thank you beforehand.
    Avelin

Not sure if I understand your exact problem. Are you saying that all tables are merged into a single DataTable?

I cannot view information from multy tables from Access db.
I create DataAdapter through Wizard. When it asks me for an SQL query I use Query Builder and there choose all tables I have (3), the SQL is generated but shows errors with update and Insert commands.
Then I click Data/Generate dataset. It is created. Then I want to bind my textbox on a form to the row of a table. In properties of textbox I choose Data/Text. In drop down menu the dataset shows only one table consisting of all rows from all three tables.

No, you can use the same data adapter and just change the SQL query on the fly... but do it if you're quite familiar with SQL query, otherwise creating 3 data adapters for 3 different table will work much easier (the drawback is, if you have more than 3 tables, then you'll need to create more adapters which is just not feasible to do).
My opinion is: you'll always need to know SQL query when working with DB (even if you use the more advance framework). I personally rarely use the wizard of data adapter, cause most of the time it generates the code I don't want.
Btw, this question suppose to be in .Net forum, isn't it ?
