Java and sound playback
I know how to play back midi and linear PCM encoded wav files in java, but I was wondering if someone could help me provide support for other audio types (e.g. the other .wav files, mp3 etc), as I'm doing a media player for a small coursework project in university, and to be restricted to two file types would be rather rubbish :P
thank you in advance

http://javazoom.com will be the best places to start. JLayer can play mp3, ogg vorbis, among others. It's built on tritonus library and mp3SPI and vorbisSPI
