VS.NET Beta 1 and .NET Framework SDK Beta 1 Available Now!
Just checked the MS .NET Web site. VS.NET Beta 1 is available to download
for MSDN Universal Subscribers. .NET Framework SDK Beta 1 is available for
general download.

You download and install it? I've downloaded it, but am a little hesitant
on installing it. I'm worried it may muck everything up. Would it be a
good idea to put it on a "test" machine? I'd hate to install it to my main
machine only for it to die.............

Re: VS.NET Beta 1 and .NET Framework SDK Beta 1 Available Now!
It's recommended that you do use a test machine, if you have it. I can't
afford a 2nd computer, just for testing. So, I do regular back-ups of the
files I need. An advisable practice anyway.
I installed the .NET Framework SDK Pre-Beta with no problems. Now I have
the .NET Framework SDK Beta 1 installed with no problems. I use the C#
compiler every day and haven't lost anything.
For me, the benefits outweigh potential drawbacks -- no pain, no gain.
