playing video file in java applet
Hi
i hav two questions
1. Can we play a video file in the java applet without the use of javax.media ?
2. Is it possible to access the file lying on the temporary internet files folder [IE cache] from the java applet ?
Although i have read in books that we cannot acces a file on the client machine using the applet, am i wrong in this ..?

I somewhere read, that signed applets may access the temp folder. but i'm not shure.
you also can play a video without javax.media. then you need another java api that supports the display of videos. or you can write your own.
