Change Framework to 2.0 in VS2003

I'm looking to change the Framework from 1.4... to 2.0 in Visual Studio on a project that I developed a month ago. I thought I found a way to change the Runtime to 2.0, but it only goes up to 1.4... Any suggestions, I can't upgrade to VS2005 as of right now.

    Thanks,
    J

While you can specify that your compiled application run under a newer version of the .NET Framework, the Visual Studio.NET IDE is hardwired to a specific major version.

You can download the Express editions of 2005 for free. VB.Net, C#, Web Developer...

If you don't need the extra stuff from VS 2005 Standard, that might be an option for you.

But, as Paul said, your IDE is hard-wired to a specific version.
