    How to be good at refactoring

    Hi guys

    Im doing a assignment which requires refactoring the current code in java.

    basically im better off looking at examples then going about with theory.

    can you guys recommend me links i use to do look up on how refactoring is done?

    Try to google "design patterns" of "code refactoring".

    You need to learn about Design Patterns & Templates. Refactoring is a vast topic and will take a while to learn (at least it did for me). Becoming knowledgeable of these concepts helps out tremendously in learning how to "Refactor." Give this book a try: [Head First: Design Patterns]. It is a really fun book with great examples to help you understand the various design patterns.
