Getting Sequence Number from the DB
Hello All,
I am using and new to NetBeans, VWP and Enterprise Pack 5.5.
Can any one help me how to get the next sequence number from a database.
I have a sequence defined in PostgreSQL ver 8. When adding a new record, the user is taken to a form where the details have to be filled in. One of the fields is the ID and I would like to get the next sequence number from the Database and display it in the ID text field of the form. For persistence API, I am using Hibernate.
An early response will be highly appreciated.
