Help with configuring IIS
Hi,
I am brand new to ASP.NET. I have installed IIS 5 that came with my Windows Media Edition.
I am using visual web developer 2005.
when i load a site in vwd and view in my browser it works without any problems using localhost:#### port number
When i publish the site to my IIS and view through my ip the site always redirects to localstart.asp. if i type in ##.##.##.##/Default.aspx then I get an internal server error.
I dont understand why localstart.asp is loading before Default.aspx even though I have removed localstart.asp from the Documents.
My other problem is that when localstart.asp IS loaded I receive the following error:
Technical Information (for support personnel)
* Error Type:
Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A0046)
Permission denied: 'GetObject'
/localstart.asp, line 40
* Browser Type:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3
* Page:
GET /localstart.asp
I am not being prompted for a user/pass. When I disable anonymous access for localstart.asp I get a permission denied for the entire page.
Can someone please suggest something or point me in the right direction?
