Error in Importing MS Access using DTS Import/Export
Hi ,
I am trying to Import an Access Database using the DTS Import/Export Wizard
The Access Database is password protected, I am using the username and password to access it.
Based on one of the other threads in this forum, I copied the system.mdw file to winnt/system32 and specified the pathname in the advanced tab, as I was getting a missing Workgroupfile error.
I am getting the following error when trying to connect.
The Microsoft Jet Database Engine cannot open the file. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data.
Any help is appreciated.

Sometimes there is a issue when you open a db exclusively and close it that it retains the exclusive access. You just need to open it regularly in Explorer to make it shared.
Also, you dont need to have the system.mdw in the system32 directory. Make sure you have permissions to access it. If you want to be sure, just move the system.mdw to a publically accessible folder and pass wht system.mdw in your open connectionstring parameters.
