Take a look at the connection strings at http://www.connectionstrings.com/. To connect to a SQL Server on a remote host, specify the server name in the Server or Data Source parameters of the connection string.

Or, are you trying to remotely connect to a server that isn't yours on a site that isn't yours without the owners knowing about it?
