    Visuals

I need the name of a language compatible with C++ that would support visuals well.. I don't need a game engine like Torque, I just need the name (and hopefully a link to a tutorial about) a language like Direct3D, OpenGL, etc.

It doesn't have to support 3D stuff.. it's not the slightest bit annoying if it doesn't. =D

    thanks

if you are using windows, directdraw is the way to go for 2-D applications. There are plenty of examples on the web or in MSDN. Opengl is also fine for 2-d work if your app will be on a unix os. Both are free and work with any language.
