Red face error PRJ0050: Failed to register output

    Hi,,:)

I am using MFC Activex Control Application in VS 20005.

I include other DLL in my solution and I have the problem that when I include any function of my DLL then it gives me the error like below.

Project : error PRJ0050: Failed to register output. Please ensure you have the appropriate permissions to modify the registry.

But when I comment on that calling function then suddently that error goes away.

I have googled for this problem and I got some idea from that and also I tried them but did not get the solution.

Let me tell you that ....

** I have the Administrator rights.

** I tried to put this DLL in the /system32 folder but it did not work.

Is there any other setting to do which I am missing?? Plz suggest me.

    Thanks.

try to manualy register your activX :
    using regsvr32 in the system32 folder ...
and tell us what happens ..
if you don't have this regsvr32.exe you should get it first ..

Thank you very much for reply.

As you told to register Activex control manualy using regsvr32,,I have tried it before. It gives me the message like....

LoadLibrary("C:\Windows\System32\ActivexVS05.ocx")failed-The specified module could not be found.

As per my information my Activex is already registered. I got the error when I use any function of the DLL in the Actvex.

    Do you have more idea??

    Thanks.

what about the function itself in the dll ? is it yours ? and are you sure it's well shared and hasn't any problems ? I don't have any other idea about why this error may appear ... what about posting some code here ?
and try also to test the function separetly, like putting it in a new file, and call it with specified arguments and see what will happens.
