open file from excel
have file name in a cell
i use a beforedoubleclick event
i would like to invoke the double click to the file name

do not want shell
any help would be great
NO SHELL..too many prob with file types.
if you doubleclick a file on your desktop.. it opens with the appropriate *.exe
i want to do this from the spreadsheet using target.cell info

When you say you want to "invoke the double click to the file name," do you mean that you want to open the file in its associated application? If so, you can use the ShellExecute API function: http://www.vb-helper.com/howto_shellexecute.html
