Is it possible to tranfer control to jsp from an applet

In my case , I have a jsp containing an applet along with other simple java functionalities. now here I have a button inside the applet, on click of which I want the control to go to other buttons(not inside the applet) in my jsp.

What I want to know is ... is it possible to transfer control from an applet to a jsp. If yes... then how?

Could you explain a bit more about what you want to do as I have Googled this topic and found nothing.

Perhaps more details would give me more to go on when I'm searching around for you.
