project topic help needed

I am planning to do my graduate project work in Computer Networks. But the professor says to come up with some new topic....

Do you have any ideas on what I should work at ? Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Well, since you posted in the Security section, I'm assuming you would want your Computer Networks project to revolve around some type of security concept, right?

there is a mother-borad implemented to CRACK the "DES" using brute-force in worst case after 56 hours but in general case in one day ... can you upgreat the DES to be more secure .. ? a new technique ? because now triple DES is sooner easily attacked too , and we won't have now more than the AES so if AES comes to be attacked too the world will be electronically unsecured !!!

another idea, implement a new feedback chained technique .. try to find a new one other than the usual 4 techniques used ...

I would suggest you to do a project related to computer network algorithms such Prim's and Dijakstra algorithm.
