I'm just now getting back into .NET after a couple years' diversion into J2EE web development, and now I'm faced with creating a modern, updated look, feel, and experience for desktop applications in .NET (specifically, C#).
So for starters, if someone wanted to give an application a similar appearance and functionality to a suite of applications like Office 2007, are there existing component suites that could do the job?
We're currently targeting .NET framework 2.0, but if we needed to we could probably bump that up, but whichever framework target we went with, we would still have to run on XP...
Any thoughts/suggestions/recommendations?
Thanks!
