Then the accounting software must be encrypting them somehow. If you don't know how they are being encrypted, then you aren't going to know how to decrypt them.
Why do you need to read these files outside of the accounting software package?
If you have a legitimate business need for this, I could contact the vendor and ask for assistance.

Ok....that is fine, but, as I said, I suspect the vendor is using some kind of compression or encryption on their data files and without knowing what they are doing, you can't undo it. So, I would suggest working with them.

Ok....that is fine, but, as I said, I suspect the vendor is using some kind of compression or encryption on their data files and without knowing what they are doing, you can't undo it. So, I would suggest working with them.
