building a class project to put in web project

When you're building a class project that you're going to use in a website that is being built, where should you place that project's file and should I have my website project closed when I build the class project?
Also, when I build the class project, I check the box not to create a directory, but it puts the project file in one anyway. I would like it to go into a file I create in my website's folder.

What software are you using to do all of this?

    Hi:
This is all in Visual Studio 2008. I have a website in a folder. I'm supposed to build a separate class project that I will then add to the website and add a reference to it.

When I create the project, even if I leave the "create directory" unchecked, it still creates a file folder with the same name as the project and places the class project in that folder.

But then when I open my websolution, it automatically loads any folders that are in its folder location. So the only way I could figure to stop it from being added that way was to put it in another file location.
