Grant local system account access to network rerources?
Morning -
I have a slight problem. Every day I have to walk into the office and run a SSIS package.
I want to schedule it using the SQL server agent, but our corporate security mandates that all SQL server agents must run under the local system account.
The SSIS package has to pull in data from a CSV file on a network share. My domain account has access to that share - and the business unit is willing to work with me if I can identify what other access needs to be granted for me to pull the file in an automated fashion.
Is there a way in SSIS or the sql server agent I can automate this task, while leaving the account that the sql server agent runs under as local system?
I have attempted to have them grant the computer account for my sql server access to the file share and this did not seem to make a difference.
Thoughts?
