    Java in Solaris/Linux

    How to make a Java service in Linux and Solaris??

    i want also to start the program at startup.........

    You should probably have started a new thread for this since it is unrelated to your original question.

    Did you even try to look this up for yourself? Google is you friend. Second entry on a Google search for java service linux yielded the following:
    How to run a Java Program as a daemon (service) on Linux (SUSE) using a shell script as the second result.
