    Displaying a Label in JApplet

    hi im making a tic tac toe program in which i have inserted logic into the actionperformed method. if the tictactoe condtion for victory is met , i want it to display it somehow. currently i am using buttons for the tictactoe and i wnat to display the message onto a label. how do i do that?

    psuedocode:

    if(logic for victory)
    label.setText(victory);

    which does not work?

    all of that is in the action performed method
