Oracle Shutdown
I am runnig ora8i v1.6 on a W2K desktop. I have been using SVRMGRL to
shutdown my database. I find this cumbersome to log into the server manager
and connecting and so on and so forth.
I decided to create a command icon with the following command:
oradim -shutdown -sid ora8i -usrpwd oracle -shuttype srvc, inst -shutmode i
Strangely enough this takes forever to get back to the command prompt though
the database actually shuts down.
Help.
