HTML2Text function and Access 2007 "RTF"

I have input and compiled this function into Access 2007 VBA.
When I present it with a string of Access 2007's pseudo-RTF, which is actually HTML, it processes it to an empty string. Has anyone else tried it and can they explain how to get over this?

    Many thanks.
