    Anybody know any program out there can do the chart like the CPU Usage monitor
    in task manager in Microsoft Windows.

    There's probably plenty of them available from the usual shareware sources.
    (What does this have to do with Java?)

    Does it have to be Java? Because Java was not designed to work with
    operating-system specific information like this. If I were to do this I
    would use Visual Basic.

    There's a sollution in plain java. no VB/VC or any other platform specific
    language. (By the way VB sucks, microsoft too...)

    You do not have to import anything. It's all in the java.lang.*;
    just test with this code...
    ____________________________________________

    public class MemoryMonitor{

    public Runtime r = Runtime.getRuntime();

    public MemoryMonitor() {
    long freeMem = r.freeMemory();
    long totalMem = r.totalMemory();
    }
    }
    _____________________________________________

    that's all. now it's all yours. you can print or do whatever you want. If
    you want to create a dynamic graph, implement this class as Runnable and
    write some code to present it in a graph. There's an example in the JAVA
    2 distribution(Sun) - JAVA2DTest example. There's a graphical memory display.
    you can use it too (without coding a line)

    Hi

    the code is for Memory Monitoring or CPU Monitoring..

    by the way, please don't use any bad remarks.. tell your point that's enough,
    because it might hurt others.

    Regards

    Hi Rajkamal,

    thanks for your comments, anyway...

    it's for the Memory(RAM) Monitoring.

    How comes I cant change CPU freq etc in BIOS? My computer is really old etc so I though maybe I could increase the performance by tweaking a few settings. I went into the BIOS and I couldnt really do anything. It only showed me some stats about my CPU and (it had a lot more stuff there as well). But there was nothing where you can change like multipliers, fsb, memory basically all these settings that you see people change in vids and tutorials.
