Linking an Excel file to Acces database
Hi,
I am trying to link an excel file to an Access database as a link table. All is well except that a column which holds unit cost values and is formatted as "Currency" comes accross the linked table having text property, which access does not allow me to change. I have gone back to the original excel file and re-formatted the column as curreny or numeric but still does not help. In Access it has text property
Any ideas how I can force this column to be linked having currency, numerical or accounting property?
Many thanks to anyone with help and suggestions.

Can you place the two in a zip file and attach them?

Thanks Hack.
Files are too big, even when I delete much of teh data from them. Forum allows only 100K zipped file. One of the files is 350K when zipped alone.
Any other suggestions?
