IM Style Windows Popup
Hello there:
I need to build an application (most probably windows forms based) where user can log into a central server. There will be multiple users logged in at the same time. The server will maintain a work queue for each of the users in SQL server. What I want to do is that whenever a new work item is created for that user, a window should pop up on the user's desktop from which s/he has logged in (Something similar to instant messenger that whenever a buddy comes online or someone sends a message, a window pops up). I was wondering what is the best approach to implement this using .net framework 4.0?
I will appreciate any help.
Thanks
Inam.
