Reporting database

Hi,

Please advise. I want to have a front which can be used to open various smaller programs.(databases) and one small vb.net program from my website.

I want this to be available with a payed time limit. Choose which of the databases you want to use and for how long. Minimum limit for the vb.net program.

I am lost - Thought of using vb.net and use sql server but was advised that a database can't handle large volumes of clients. Will I need to use something else???

Please give some help which is the best way..

Who in the world told you that? Do you think commerical sites use text files to store their information?

SQL Server is a fine choice. Oralce is another. If this is for a web site, I would consider going with ASP.NET
