Question Word 2010 Automation Using VB6

I have not had any problem using my VB6 application to automate Word in the past. It works for Word 2003 and 2007. However, I just upgraded to a new computer (Win 7 Pro) and Office 2010. Now when I try to export some data to Word, I get the following error message...

"This action cannot be completed because the other application is busy. Choose 'Switch To' to activate the busy application and correct the problem"

Choosing the 'Switch To' does not work as the error message just repeats itself. Then I press the 'Cancel" button in the error message box and receive the following message...

"Error -2147418111 Automation error. Call was rejected by the callee."

My application automates Excel as well with no problems with Excel 2010.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem when activating Word 2010 from VB6? Any suggestions?

PS. This problem only happens when I create a large file and a Word error occurs to indicate that the file is too large to perform a spelling and grammar check. When I turn off spell & grammer check, the error does not occur.

When I create smaller files, even with the spell and grammar check turned on it works okay.

I realize this is an old support message, but setting the OLERequestPendingTimeout to 0, as described here, might work for you. I figure it is worth a shot. I googled your error message with Word 2010 and I really didn't get anything specific to Word 2010. These two were about the best of the lot of returns that I did get.

Hack - It sounds like the fix described in your first reference is what might work best. I will try setting the OLERequestPendingTimout to 0. Will post how this solution works. Thanks!!!
