DTS gone badly wrong - missing objects and overwriting data

I was doing a DTS from one server to another of some stored procedures as
objects to replace some existing ones.
For some reason it removed the stored procedures that I was transfering from
the destination server (ie, it did not transfer them from the source DB to
the destination DB, and it completely deleted the existing ones with the
same names from the destination DB.)
It also overwrote the data in the dependent tables of these stored procedures
on the destination server with data from the source DB.ie although NO tables
were checked to be transferred, ONLY stored procedures, the data in the tables
that the stored procedures use was overwritten in the destination DB with
the data from the source DB.

No other objects were selected, except the stored procedures.
The default options were selected, except transfer all objects and use default
options, I unselected the user-level roles.

Is there a log somewhere on the server where I can find out what went wrong?
Does anyone have any ideas what happened?

    Please HELP

    thanx in advance
    K

Re: DTS gone badly wrong - missing objects and overwriting data

Don't know about the removing of the stored procedures, but I did have the
same problem with the overwriting of the tables. I was transfering some
sp's, and the tables started to be overwritten. I had used the DTS Export
Wizard, and on the Select Objects to Transfer screen I did not deactivate
the "include all dependent objects" checkbox. So SQL Server tried to move
the tables that the sp's were dependent on. Deactivated the checkbox and
    everything worked fine.

    Hope this helps,
    Scott
