SQL Server 7 connecting to SQL Server 2000

    Hello,

I'm trying to connect to a SQL Server 2000 on another location by means
of the Enterprise Manager on my location. Basically what I want to do is
to manage my database on that SQL 2000 server. Problem is, I'm using on
my side SQL Server 7 and Enterprise Manager can't connect saying that I
must upgrade my SQL Enterprise Manager and SQL-DMO.

Is there any way I can manage this connection without the need to
purchase an upgrade to SQL Server 2000?

    Thanks in advance,

Just install the client tools from SQL 2000, you can connect to both 7 and
    2000 with the newer version.

As far as I'm aware, the opposite just ain't so...

    Sigh...
