Barcode Reader LS2208 Insert a string

    G'day all! I'm a newbie

My problem is to do with ADF barcode Rule limitations. Basically the rule I want to create has to many steps, but if I can insert a preprogrammed ascii string then the rule will be ok.

Only problem is I can't get it to work!!

The ascii string I want to insert is "C:\MTD\" at position 3 of the barcode string in code 128 "1+0307T9\86U.mpr". I can either get the rule to run without the inserted string or only the string is written.

Does anyone have any experience with this and can they help me please??!!

What language are you using to do the programming?

    Do you have an SDK?

HaHa! Like I said, I'm a newbie and a SR71 Black Bird just flew over my head with what you just asked!!

I'm using 123Scan Utility that comes with the LS2208 package that prints ADF programming barcodes to create a macro for the LS2208 to follow (You probably know all this already by the sounds of things!)

I can program the "C:\MTD\" string character by character but this takes up 7 steps in the ADF rule, however if I could combine the string into one step then I am under the 25max number of steps the LS2208 can handle per rule.

Here is my ADF rule printed into ADF programming barcodes:

Criteria: Begin Rule; Code128; 13 Characters.
Action: Send F8; Send Pause; Send BackTAB; Send BackTAB; Send BackTAB; Send BackTAB; Send BackTAB; Send BackTAB; Skip 1 Character; Send Next Character; Send TAB; Send TAB; Send TAB; Send TAB; Send TAB; Send TAB; Send TAB; Send C; Send : ; Send \; Send M; Send T; Send D; Send \; Send All that Remains; Send F8; Send BackTAB; Save Rule.

Mate, if you have any ideas I'm all ears and a very keen student!!

    Hi,
As for me, I am testing the related online
.net barcode generator these days. Do you have any ideas about it? Or any good suggestion? I am totally a green hand on barcode generating field. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Best regards,
    Arron
